Salted caramel sauce
100g caster sugar
100ml 18% single cream
2g Maldon sea salt
- Add the sugar to a clean stainless steel pan. Add a medium heat cook carefully until an amber caramel is achieved.
- Pour in the cream and stir to combine.
- Remove from the heat, add a good pinch of salt and leave to cool for 5 minutes before adding the butter and stirring until melted.
- Leave to cool before serving.
- This is great poured over a sticky toffee pudding or apple crumble.
