Fondue
Ingredients
400g Fondue Cheese (remove from fridge 15 minutes before)
20cl dry white wine – preferably from the Savoie region
1 Clove of garlic
Pinch of Nutmeg
Pinch of Pepper
Bread, preferably a baguette
Utentsils
Fondue Pot and Fondue Forks
Knife and Wooden Spoon
Method
- Cut the clove of garlic in half and rub around the inside of the Fondue Pot
- Heat the pot over a medium heat and add the wine bringing to a gentle simmer
- Gradually add the Fondue cheese while stirring in a figure of 8
- Keep stirring until you melt all the cheese and have a smooth consistency
- Season with the Pepper and Nutmeg and stir in thoroughly
- You’re all set to start dipping your bread chunks on your Fondue Forks! Enjoy…
TIP: For a smoother texture, add 2 tablespoons of corn starch mixed with 2.5cl of white wine to the pot with your cheese
